What SHIELD Is
Not a course. A live, cohort-based resilience-building experience.
SHIELD is not a webinar series or a recorded program with live Q&A bolted on. Each session is a structured working meeting β the facilitator guides you through the framework, then you build your deliverable with peer and facilitator support in real time.
You learn alongside a cohort of GCC business leaders who are facing the same pressures, navigating the same markets, and operating under the same uncertainty. Their experience is part of the curriculum. The cohort network is one of the program's most durable outputs.
Sessions are delivered live β in-person or via virtual classroom β over eight weeks. Every session ends with a complete business document and a Next Action your organisation implements before the following week.

The Hot Seat
Every session includes a facilitated peer coaching exercise β one participant's live business challenge worked through by the full cohort. Twenty GCC leaders applying their experience to your problem. This is the single highest-value element in SHIELD.
Collective intelligence
Your cohort contains a combined 200+ years of GCC operating experience. Participants in construction, trade, manufacturing, professional services, and family business bring sector-specific knowledge to every framework discussion.
Accountability
You bring your Next Action back to the group the following week. The social commitment of declaring your action in front of peers β and being asked to report on it β produces follow-through that self-paced study cannot replicate.
Facilitator-directed build time
You don't watch the session and then build later. You build during the session, with the facilitator guiding each section of the deliverable in real time. The document is largely complete by the time the session ends.
Deliverable review and feedback
Every deliverable submitted after a SHIELD session is reviewed by a qualified assessor who returns structured written feedback within five business days. The feedback is a coaching document, not a grade.
A network that compounds
The cohort relationship does not end at the last session. SHIELD alumni enter a peer community of certified GCC crisis leaders β a resource for intelligence sharing, commercial introductions, and collective problem-solving that grows in value over time.
Session Structure
Every session is a working meeting, not a lecture.
Each SHIELD session is four to five hours of structured work β not passive instruction. The facilitator guides you through the framework, then you apply it to your business in real time, with peer input and facilitator coaching throughout.
By the end of each session you have a largely complete deliverable. The 72-hour post-session window is for finalisation and submission β not for starting from scratch.
Pre-session requirement
Complete the Pre-Session Readiness Check β issued 48 hours before each module. Facilitators use your responses to personalise the session. This is not optional.

House Rules
SHIELD is a high-trust, high-candour environment. These rules protect it.
Confidentiality β what stays in the cohort, stays in the cohort
Participant names, business details, financial information, and personal disclosures are confidential. You may apply what you learn. You may not share who said what or details about a specific participant's business.
Full attendance β your presence affects everyone
Full attendance at all eight modules is expected. Sessions start on time. Late arrivals disrupt group exercises and peer build activities. If an emergency prevents attendance, notify your facilitator at least 24 hours in advance.
Devices β laptops required, phones silenced
Laptops are required for build sessions β bring a charged device. Phone calls: step outside. Recording of sessions (audio or video) is not permitted without explicit facilitator consent. AI tools may be used to support drafting β your analysis must be your own.
Respect and candour β disagree with ideas, not people
Challenge frameworks rigorously. Lived experience is expertise β a participant who has navigated a supply chain crisis has as much to teach as the facilitator. Vulnerability is strength. No recruitment or business development during sessions.

Is attendance mandatory for all eight sessions?
Full attendance is expected and certification requires completion of all modules. If an emergency prevents attendance, notify your facilitator at least 24 hours in advance. Make-up provisions may be available β contact support.
Are sessions in-person or virtual?
SHIELD is delivered via live virtual classroom (similar to Zoom) for all participants. In-person cohorts may be arranged for organisations enrolling a full team β inquire via the corporate page.
What is the application process?

Can I upgrade from SIGNAL to SHIELD?
Yes. SIGNAL alumni who apply for SHIELD within 12 months receive a credit equal to their SIGNAL fee (USD 2,450) against the SHIELD price. Select this option in the application form above.
What are the payment terms?
Full payment or a 50% deposit with balance due before session two. USD, SAR, QAR, and KWD invoicing available on request. Invoice available for corporate procurement.
